Description

This course provides 8 hours of continuing education credit, and is fully compliant with insurance continuing education requirements in the state of Texas. With advanced knowledge of the Texas LTC Partnership Program, you’ll be able to help policyholders determine eligibility and purchase the right LTC insurance to meet their needs.

In Texas, the Long-Term Care Partnership Program allows residents to tap into Medicaid to help pay for their long-term care when their private LTC policies have been exhausted. In the past, individuals may have had to sell homes and deplete their savings accounts to pay for care, even with LTC insurance. The Long-Term Care Partnership plays an important role in helping policyholders pay for care while staying solvent.

Topics covered in these course materials include:

  • The Texas Long-Term Care Insurance Partnership program: how it works.
  • Who qualifies for the partnership program.
  • General requirements of partnership policies.
  • An introduction to Long-Term Care insurance.
  • Alternatives to funding long-term care, including Medicaid.
  • Ethical considerations in selling LTC insurance.

This online course can be downloaded immediately after purchase—and students can see results as soon as tests are completed. Study on your own time, without having to work around a class schedule—and complete your insurance continuing education faster and easier than in a traditional classroom. Order this course today and get started meeting your Texas continuing education requirements for long-term care.
