Description

Think a malpractice lawsuit can’t happen to you? Think again. Studies show that approximately 15% of agents in the US are sued by customers each year, and about 75% of these claims are “frivolous”—based on factors completely beyond your control. It’s easy to cross the line and make yourself vulnerable to lawsuits—even if you didn’t mean to do anything wrong.

You can’t protect against the possibility of lawsuits entirely. But you can make yourself much less vulnerable. This course helps you identify infractions—both deliberate and inadvertent—that may occur, and help you reduce the risk of making a costly mistake.

This course satisfies continuing education requirements for your insurance license. It’s ideal for both new agents and those with many years of work experience. Topics covered include:

  • Legal and ethical sales conduct for agents.
  • Managing agent conflicts.
  • Consumer protection issues.
  • Suitability of coverage—when insurance fails to insure.

No insurance agent can afford to be in the dark when it comes to issues of ethics and legal responsibility. Know what the market expects of you—and reduce the chances that you’ll be the target of a lawsuit. Order this online course today—and safeguard your practice in the years to come.
