Required CE Hours for Renewal in Kansas
One License
- 12 hours of CE biennially, which must include at least 1 hours of ethics.

Long Term Care -LTC
- Agents wishing to sell Long Term Care are required to take a one time only 4 hour Department of Insurance certified course
- Each license term thereafter each agent must complete a 1 hour Long Term Care Partnership CE course that is approved by the department.

Flood Insurance Training
- An insurance producer who sells flood insurance may satisfy the minimum training
and education requirements by completing a 3-hour course related to the National Flood
Insurance Program (NFIP).

How Hours are Reported
- CE completions are submitted electronically the next business day after a passing completion is acquired.
- You need to make sure your hours are reported before the license due date or your license will be revoked. Please keep in mind the CE provider has up to 30 days to send proof of your completed CE requirement hours.

License Term
- The term of the license is every 2 years based on the agents birth date. Agents born in even numbered years the renewal will be due in even numbered years, agents born in odd numbered years the renewal will be due in odd numbered years.
