From Bar Banter to Business
Like so many brilliant plans, the idea for FastrackCE was born in a bar.

It was 2000 and Brad Nevins was having a drink with an associate at an insurance conference. At the time, self-study insurance continuing education was done by receiving a book in the mail and completing a fillable answer sheet. It was a lengthy and complicated process for agents and brokers to achieve CE credit and receive a certificate of completion.

There had to be a better way! The idea was to simplify the process by taking it fully online and allowing virtual completion exams with instant grading and, ultimately, automated reporting to state governing entities. At the time, this was a novel concept – only a small handful of companies were embracing the newly available technology to make this happen. After finishing their drinks, CE Network was formed, which would later become FastrackCE.

The company started by offering insurance continuing education in the state of California, leveraging word of mouth and existing relationships to spread the news that CE was now available online – and it was easy! Many large organizations jumped on the bandwagon to set up corporate training for their teams, and FastrackCE continued to grow year after year – adding new states as time went on.

  • The founders built a robust website and database to bring their vision to fruition

    2001

  • The company rebranded to FastrackCE

    2005

  • FastrackCE surpassed 500 total training courses delivered

    2006

  • Exceeded 30 states where courses are offered; a number that continues to grow to this day!

    2008

  • Launched the FastrackCE Renewal Alert Program to notify users when CE deadlines are approaching

    2010

  • Experienced significant growth in users as the global pandemic shifted the industry to virtual training like never before

    2020

  • Brad Nevins bought out his partners and became owner of FastrackCE

    2022

  • New website is launched, along with plan to expand course catalog!

    2023
